Study Now and Pay Later at Careers Australia
VET FEE-HELP is a student loan to help Australian citizens pay for eligible Diploma courses. The loan is issued by the Australian Government to make higher education more accessible, by removing the burden of up front tuition fees.
What does this mean for me?
If you want to enrol in an eligible Diploma program with Careers Australia then you may be able to receive VET FEE-HELP to subsidise your tuition fees. You will then have to repay the loan to the Australian Government through the tax system once you reach the minimum income threshold level for repayment – generally after you complete your studies.
How do I know if I’m eligible?
You are eligible for VET FEE-HELP if you:
- are an Australian citizen or permanent humanitarian Visa holder;
- will be residing in Australia while you complete your studies;
- are enrolled in any relevant units on or before their census date;
- have completed and submitted a formal request;
- have a current Australian Tax File Number;
- have not exceeded the FEE Help limit.
