Careers Australia gives industry, employers and students greater flexibility in training!
Everyone has different needs and preferences when it comes to education and training, which is why we offer a diverse range of delivery modes:
- Full Time
Full time courses include at least 20 contact hours per week, which are typically spread over 2-3 days. These courses are typically aimed at school leavers, job seekers, or people looking to return to the workforce, as they allow you to complete your studies sooner. - Part Time
Part time courses are aimed at people who are already working full time, but want to improve their skills, get ready for a promotion, or might even be considering changing careers. Classes are run at night and content is delivere at a faster pace than in full time courses. - Apprenticeship or Traineeship
Apprenticeships and traineeships combine work with structured training and are available across hundreds of job roles, dozens of industries and a range of study levels.
... and a range of delivery options to suit your individual circumstances:
- Campus
Campus-based delivery is where you come to one of our national campuses or training centres to undertake your training and education. This is a popular option across all study modes, as it allows you to utilise our quality tools and facilities and learn with face-to-face interaction with your lecturer or trainer. - Workplace
Workplace training is available for a number of our apprenticeships and traineeships. This is where our trainers visit you at your workplace to complete your training. One of the significant advantages of workplace training is that you get to learn on the tools that you will be working with... There are obviously limitations to workplace training, however, as your workplace might not have all of the equipment necessary to complete your training. - Online / Distance
Online education is growing in popularity, as it allows you to learn at your own pace, and access learning resources from almost anywhere in the world. - Mobile
Mobile learning is where you access learning resources on a mobile phone or tablet computer. Mobile learning isn't restricted to online or distance education students either - students in many of our new diploma programs are being issued with Apple iPad's to access electronic textbooks, creating paperless classrooms! - Blended
Blended learning is the most common solution, which combines a number of the above delivery options to create a tailored training plan which suits you.

“I wanted to have a career change; I liked the class schedule, which is 2 ½ days a week. That meant I could spend time with my family and have a job for the rest of the week. I also like the environment for learning, being that it was an easier transition from being a mother to an adult student.”
“The Diploma of Business helped me gain the knowledge I needed to achieve my personal best and to be successful. I gained acceptance into the University of my choice thanks to Careers Australia.”
