Our Recruitment Process

​At Careers Australia, we have an internal recruitment team who manage the majority of our recruitment activity. This team screens all new employees to ensure that our hiring process is thorough, consistent and fair. This benefits a candidate by ensuring that they will be working with qualified, experienced colleagues who value working in an honest, ethical environment.

Along with a thorough interview process, we also conduct background screening; the information that is provided to us will be verified by a specialist pre-employment screening agency. This process complies with Australia’s rigorous privacy laws to ensure that the candidate’s privacy is respected and their information is treated confidentially.

The information gathered is used only for the purpose of evaluating candidacy for employment. These results form just one component of a candidate’s application, and is considered in conjunction with all other aspects of an application. Adverse findings will be taken into account if they are relevant to the job that the candidate is applying for.
