Mantra's Call for Quality Training Answered by Careers Australia

Mantra's Call for Quality Training Answered by Careers Australia

Following an in depth tender process, Careers Australia has secured a partnership to deliver staff development and training nationally for one of Australia’s leading accommodation providers, Mantra Group.

Its capacity to deliver all of Mantra Group’s training and development needs from front to back of house including corporate services, was a major factor in Careers Australia winning the deal. Whilst there is a focus on front line customer service training, Careers Australia will also be delivering niche programs including business services, accounting and project management.

Our willingness to invest in tailored materials and systems including sourcing Mantra experienced trainers made our offer the most attractive on the table. Careers Australia’s solution ensures nationwide consistency across training materials, educators and visit schedules.

Careers Australia has embedded in Mantra’s operations and is developing a solid working relationship to thoroughly understand its business priorities. We are also working closely with Mantra’s suppliers to ensure staff have high level, relevant knowledge of products being served at each property.

Careers Australia’s ability to mobilise quickly has come in to play immediately. Over the first month of the partnership, our key client management staff have performed a national audit of skills, identifying training gaps and eligibility for funding support.

Following communications to each property on the training solutions available, we are averaging 20+ enrolment requests per week. It is expected that this will increase significantly as we move in to the peak season.

Group Learning and Development Manager, Anton Derham said, “Mantra Group are committed to skilling its workforce through a variety of training programs.”

“With a workforce of over 3,700 employees across more than 100 hotels nationally, implementing a cost effective solution that takes in to account all staff training needs is essential,” he said.

“We have engaged Careers Australia to be our preferred RTO to manage and deliver our traineeship programs across Australia and we look forward to reviewing the results from the first six months of the partnership in the new year.”

This is another important milestone for Careers Australia’s Industry Development team as we diversify into new sectors and work toward our goal of being Australia’s preferred industry partner.
