The Adult Migrant English Program is funded by the Australian Government Department of Immigration and Citizenship to help newly arrived migrants and refugees to learn English and settle into life in Australia.

The Brisbane Migrant English Centre has helped thousands of migrants and refugees from over 70 countries to learn English and to settle into life and work in Brisbane since 2003.

What is the Adult Migrant English Program?

The Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP) is a government funded program which provides eligible migrants and refugees with up to 510 hours of free English classes.

  • The Adult Migrant English Program is designed to quickly improve your English language skills and to help you settle into work and life in Australia
  • While you are studying in the Adult Migrant English Program you can use free on site childcare services
  • Studying in the Adult Migrant English Program is approved by Centrelink

Where can I do the Adult Migrant English Program?

The Brisbane Migrant English Centre is located less than 2km from the Brisbane CBD and 500m from the Brunswick Street Train Station in Fortitude Valley.
