Free English

The Brisbane Migrant English Centre is located in our central Brisbane Training Centre and is Queensland’s only private provider approved by the Department of Immigration and Citizenship to offer free English under the Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP). Free Childcare

If you have children under the age of 4 we can offer on-site childcare for 3 hours a day. You can learn English while your child is cared for by qualified, and security-screened staff. This service is free for AMEP clients.

Are you eligible for the AMEP?

The program is available to adult migrants (18 years old or over) for whom English is not the first language, and who have been assessed as not having functional English language skills.

You may be eligible to learn English through the AMEP if you are:

Clients need to register for their English language tuition entitlement within three months of arrival in Australia or grant of permanent residence and should start tuition within one year. English language tuition may be delayed in certain circumstances.
